What? No? You’re kidding? Still, I think it’s only fair that I fess up about some things before you make the tough decision of whether or not to follow my blog.
I am a wife, a mom and a writer. Not necessarily in that order. (Sorry family!) I live in the house my great-grandparents built, and it’s half a mile from my nearest neighbor… which isn’t far enough for me. I love snakes and rats, but I’m terrified of spiders. Though they’re both adorable, I’m neither team Edward nor Jacob, but I have to admit… if Spike were in front of me I’d jump him in a nanosecond.
Hmm… what else do you need to know? I love to read and write Y/A fantasy, and I’ve finished two novels. The first is high fantasy with a connection to the modern world. The second is more of a contemporary romantic fantasy. Both are the first in a trilogy… which means I’ve got a lot of work to do, right? Yea, I know. Anyway, I haven’t published anything yet, but I may consider doing so next year.
I’ve done lots of stuff in my life. Here are a few things that I’m not completely ashamed to tell you about: I attended ten different schools in twelve years; I’ve been a postal worker, a security guard, and I worked in a commercial laundry; I owned a campground; I’ve booked bands for bluegrass festivals, and I once raised my own hogs.
Weird list, huh?
Okay, enough about me. Now it’s your turn to introduce yourself! Are you a reader? A writer? A blogger? A pastry chef? A chimney sweep? A dark overlord? I’m really nosy, and I need to know, so don’t be afraid to say “Hi!” And now that introductions are out of the way, I’ll be back next time with more Y/A stuff.
